Looking for guidance to help you start strong on your journey toward tenure and promotion? Did you know that there are a few changes to the tenure and promotion submission process?

In this session, Dr. Tim Todd, Murray State Provost; Dr. Bob Pervine, Associate Provost for Graduate Education and Research; and experienced MSU faculty will provide an overview of the tenure and promotion process and insights for getting a strong start toward tenure and promotion at MSU.

Participants will review:

the process for tenure and promotion at MSU
recent changes to the tenure and promotion submission process
strategies to plan for tenure and promotion

expectations and evidence necessary to achieve promotion and tenure (including recent changes to the submission process)
strategies to strengthen their promotion and tenure portfolio

Tenure and Promotion Processing System (TAPPS) for Applicants 2024

Are you a tenure track faculty or considering applying for a promotion? Have you not used TAPPS before?

TAPPS is intended to facilitate the process of applying for tenure and promotion applications. You can start using TAPPS long before the time of your application.

Participants will learn to:

Update their profiles
Upload documents
Submit their applications
Check application status
Respond to requests for more documents

Tenure and Promotion Processing System for Applicants

Are you applying for tenure or promotion this year? Is this your first time using the TAPPS?
This session is intended for tenure and promotion applicants who will be submitting their applications during the academic year 2022-2023.

Participants will learn how to update their profiles, upload documents, submit their applications, check their application status, and respond to requests for more documents.

Tenure and Promotion Processing System (TAPPS) for Reviewers

Are you reviewing tenure and/or promotion applications this year?

This session is intended for tenure and promotion applications reviewers. Participants will learn to review an application portfolio, submit recommendations, communicate in the committee, vote in the committee, and forward an application.
