Grant Proposal Development: A Blueprint for Success

Do you need funding to help your project idea become a reality? Are you interested in help to write a grant proposal (from the conceptual stage to completion)?

This session will cover how the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) can serve you from the first thought of your project to the final closing of your funded project.

The OSP will work with you at every step of the process of getting funding to help make your project idea become a reality. The steps includes, but are not limited to the following:

Identify potential funding sources
Develop your proposal (including developing a budget)
Submit your proposal
Negotiate your award
Accept your award
Administer post award issues

The Role of Sponsored Programs

In this session participants will learn about the Office of Sponsored Programs, what consists of sponsored programs, difference between grants and gifts and confusing jargon such as RFP or NOFO, brief overview of ways to find external funding, how external funding supports scholarship, research, and creative activities, and proposal submission.

Session 1: Foundations of Leadership: Essential Training for Principal Investigators (PI)

Session Objectives:
