How do I get a Canvas account?

Students will automatically have an account created for them.
Students are enrolled into courses based on their schedules.
Students will be loaded into Canvas courses a few weeks before each semester begins.
An instructor must "Publish" a course before a student will see it listed under Courses. Until at least one course is available to you, the top navigation bar shows as Home.
You MUST create your Canvas Password before you can access your account. Reset your password in myGate.
- Click on the myGate tab at the top of this page on the right, or click here.
- Click on the Home tab at the top-left.
- In the Account Services box, click on either the orange Change Password box to change all your passwords at once, or click on the Change Password link under Canvas to change only the Canvas password.
- Enter and confirm your password, then click Change Canvas Password button.

To report errors, please click on the Help at the top right (next to the Canvas logout) and choose Report a Problem.
If you have questions about your Canvas course content, contact your instructor.
